Internal Door & External Door Signage Confusion
18/08/2008
Although door signage, both interior and exterior, should be easily managed it appears that it is often not. Door signage can often cause mass confusion and through no fault of the innocent door user but the mixed signals of the internal and external door signage people. A shining example of this is the application of push signs to doors with a handle. Surely this door anomale can’t help but send mixed signals. Worse still in the world of door mishaps is the signage “pull” with no obvious way of how to pull said door. You would think it might make more sense for all internal and external doors to not even have signage just a door handle or pushing plate to indicate how to handle the door. However whoever manages international door signage appears to have overlooked this point and left doors everywhere, internal and external, not to mention door users, in a muddle. Head to bargaindoors.co.uk for a high quality selection of hardwood dowelled front doors, hardwood mortice and tenon front doors, and triple leaded glass doors.
